His previous experience ranges from speaking at MJBizCon in the fall of 2019 on extraction science to managing the industrial-scale, carbon dioxide-based supercritical fluid extraction and ethanol extraction facilities for a cultivation and extraction company. In addition to serving as lead scientist he developed various standard operating protocols in extraction and designed methods for isolation, purification and quantification of medicinal marijuana products. Prior to his experience in the cannabinoid extraction industry Kellan has a master’s in Metabolic Engineering and Chemistry from Northern Arizona University. Additionally, Kellan’s background in analytical chemistry includes working on the Native America Cancer Prevention grant where he quantified uranium and plutonium on the Navajo reservation.
