Oklahoma cannabis news, 8th Revolution

The state Supreme Court has ruled against the Oklahomans for Sensible Marijuana Laws campaign, Yes On 820, to legalize recreational cannabis. Their measure will no longer appear on this November’s ballot. In a 9-0 ruling, the court said that the petition did not meet the required deadline to qualify for the election. However, campaign officials blame the state for an abnormally long signature certification period that leads to delays. It is possible that Gov. Kevin Stitt could call a special election but more likely that Oklahomans will have to wait until 2024 to vote on State Question 820.
